Dr. Selbach completed her training at the University of Miami Medical School/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida .She works from a strength-based perspective to evaluate and treat emotional and behavioral issues. These include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse and developmental disorders.She aids people in learning skills and making life changes that lead to more fulfilling lives. She has a strong belief that people can make changes if they are committed to do so. Dr. Selbach utilizes the best treatment method for the individual. She is skilled in the implementation of Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, hypnosis and coaching techniques. In addition, she also has a strong background in behavioral medicine.Dr. Selbach works with children, adolescents, couples and adults. She specializes in evaluation and diagnosis. She evaluates children for gifted programs, learning disabilities and clinical diagnosis. She also works with couples who are dealing with Asperger's syndrome. Dr. Selbach uses very practical and positive approaches.
As the former Clinical Director at Covenant House Florida, a crisis shelter for runaway and homeless youth, Dr. Selbach oversaw and provided therapeutic interventions for crisis management, a 28 day level 1 substance abuse program, parenting program and HIV prevention and intervention.
